The fundraising event called ‘DON(n)A la Gardenia’ (8th and 9th March 2015) will help MS research and give hope to men and women affected by the chronicle illness. After last year’s premiere, Costa Cruises is now back to Cagliari Airport with its direct charter connection to Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe. A fully booked Alitalia A330-200 will take off tomorrow from the main Sardinian airport; more Costa Cruises charter flights are scheduled in February and March to Dubai.
As a result of its passenger traffic growing 1.53% during the year, Cagliari Airport has handled more than 3.6 million guests in 2014. A new monthly record was set on August with 513.029 passengers. Aircrafts figures are also up: 29,850 movements with an increase of 1.18%. Last year domestic routes (growth of 3.81% in passenger traffic) performed better than international ones (-6.41%).
The Most Reverend Arrigo Miglio Archbishop of Cagliari celebrated the Advent Mass at Cagliari Airport. The Holy Mass was officiated this morning in front of State and Military Authorities, SOGAER Group representatives and airport operators.
The low cost carrier Volotea will open a new flight route between Cagliari and Catania in June 2015. Catania has been added to Venice and Ancona, enabling Volotea to connect Cagliari Airport with three domestic destinations in the coming year. 9,99 euro fares (one-way, taxes included) are now available for a fews days on www.volotea.com.
