Colours of France's national flag are projected onto Cagliari Airport passengers’ terminal facade in show of solidarity after strikes on Paris.
The Spanish low cost Vueling has just announced its special flights for the festive season: under this year's Chrtismas tree starting Dec. 12th and ending Jan. 3rd there will be 12 direct flights connecting Cagliari and Barcelona. Elisabetta Cherchi is the new member of Cagliari Airport Board of Directors. Ms. Cherchi is Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark, Department of Transport. Other members of the Board are Carlo Ibba (President) and Gavino Pinna (Vice President). The Board will serve until the approval of the 2015 financial statements.
From next March on, Volotea will connect Cagliari and Naples adding a brand new route to its network. The Spanish low cost carrier has already scheduled flights from Cagliari Airport to Ancona, Catania, Turin, Venice and Verona for 2016. Starting from December 18th 2015 Volotea will connect Cagliari and Turin with its fleet of Boeing 717s. During this year’s holiday season the new route will be operated daily; flights will be scheduled on Monday and Saturday from January 11th 2016.
Today Mr. Carlo Ibba has been appointed as President of Cagliari Airport's board of directors. Mr. Gavino Pinna (Vice President) and Ms. Francesca Medda are the other two members of the board. At the general meeting of August 12th 2015 the company’s shareholders appointed the new board, which will serve until the approval of the 2015 financial statements.
