2015: Passengers at Cagliari Airport hit a new record

With 3,712,558 passengers in the last 12 months Cagliari Airport reaches its best performance ever, increasing by 2.29% 2014 figures. During 2015 travellers on domestic routes showed a growth of 3.25% boosting Rome Fiumicino (826,398 passengers), Milan Linate (508,523) and Bergamo (393,821) to the top 3 of the most popular non stop flight connections to/from Cagliari. London Stansted, Girona, Brussels Charleroi and Paris Beauvais ranked highest among international routes.

Lithium batteries: never in checked baggage

The Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) campaigns together with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in order to raise passenger awareness on risks related to lithium batteries stored in the hold of an aircraft.

Volotea flights to Turin and Verona to start tomorrow

Volotea adds two more routes to its South Sardinian network: starting tomorrow, Turin and Verona will be connected to Cagliari Airport. After the Holiday Season and until the end of March, the flights to both destinations will be operated twice a week. For info and tickets

Airport Emergency Procedures successfully tested

Last night an emergency drill was carried out at Cagliari Airport. About 80 operators participated in the drill and tested the actions described in the Airport Emergency Plan. Periodic drills are an opportunity to practice emergency procedures and to make sure all staff are familiar with them.
