Giro d’Italia: trophy on display at Cagliari Airport

The 'Trofeo Senza Fine' that will be awarded in a few weeks to the winner of the Giro d’Italia is now on display with some memorabilia from the past editions and the brand new jerseys of this year’s competition, including the iconic Maglia Rosa. The exhibition at the Departures Level celebrates the ‘Big Start’ of the Giro d’Italia no. 100 taking place in Sardinia from May 5th till May 7th 2017.

Volotea: back with flights to Naples, Genoa and Venice

The Spanish low cost carrier resumes its flight services from Cagliari Airport to Naples, Genoa and Venice. In the next months and during Summer ’17 Volotea will connect Cagliari with nine destinations: Ancona, Catania, Genoa, Naples, Turin, Venice and Verona in Italy and the two brand new routes to Nantes and Toulouse in France. Meridiana resumes its operations at Cagliari

Meridiana kicks off its Summer ’17 schedule at Cagliari Airport. Starting from April 3rd the carrier offers daily flights to Milan Malpensa and direct services to Bologna, Naples, Turin and Verona. Air transport: strikes announced for Feb. 23rd 2017

In view of the air travel strikes announced for tomorrow, Thursday 23rd February 2017, Cagliari Airport advises all passengers to contact their airline in order to check the status of their flight.

Summer ‘17: flight network announced at Cagliari Airport

Cagliari Airport welcomes new airlines and announces new routes for IATA Summer Season 2017. The flight network valid from March 26th till October 28th has been unveiled today to the press and then discussed with travel agents, T.O. and operators.

2016 total passengers close to 3.7 million at Cagliari Airport

If compared with last year’s, 2016 traffic figures highlight a slight improvement in aircraft movements and a minimal decrease in terms of total passengers landing or taking off at Cagliari Airport. In terms of passengers, domestic routes (+2.47%) performed better than international ones (-13.45%). Last year Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate and Bergamo were the most popular domestic destinations, while London Stansted, Bruxelles Charleroi and Paris Beauvais were the top international destinations.
