Ryanair: cabin bags policy change

Starting from January 15th 2018 only passengers who have purchased Priority, Flexi Plus, Plus or Family Plus will be permitted to bring both of their cabin bags (1 bigger cabin bag and 1 small cabin bag) on board. All other customers are only allowed to bring 1 small bag on board; their second 10kg bag will be tagged at the gate and put into the hold free of charge. For more details: 



2017: Cagliari Airport shatters annual traffic record

Cagliari Airport announces a new all-time record for traffic, serving 4,149,585 passengers in 2017. Overall  traffic grew by 12.6% year-over-year, with 462,839 more  travelers than in 2016. The milestone of 4 million passengers was set on December 14th last year. Cagliari Airport posted a record 38% increase in international traffic.

4M passengers in a year: first time at Cagliari Airport

The record figure was announced today, December 14th 2017: Cagliari Airport saw 4 million travelers pass through its doors to date, two weeks before the end of the year, making 2017 the busiest year ever in the history of the main Sardinian hub.
To celebrate the achievement, KLM gave the lucky 4millionth passenger, Mr Alessandro De Nicola, a free return ticket to New York valid for two people. Volotea, Vueling, easyJet, ISOLA and Cagliari Calcio provided more flight tickets and gifts for some other travelers and for the athletes of Team Sardegna Special Olympics Italia who spent the day at the airport.

Seminar on energy efficiency: key role for the airport

Tomorrow Cagliari Airport together with OIC (Cagliari Professional Association of Engineers) will host a seminar on energy efficiency as part of the national awareness campaign led by ENEA on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Development. The main Sardinian airport is also the subject of a case study on the positive impact of an effective approach to the management and operation of industrial plants.

The airport sets another record in October

Cagliari Airport strikes again: last month’s 353,993 passengers make it the best October ever in the history of the main Sardinian airport. Travellers increased by +15.25% thanks to rising figures on international routes (+28.5%) and to a solid +11.7% growth of domestic passengers. Cagliari Airport now focuses on breaking the record of 4 million passengers per year at the end of 2017 and on deseasonalizing tourist flows.
