Volotea to resume its Ancona route

The Spanish low cost carrier adds Ancona to its summer network 2016 from Cagliari Airport. Starting tomorrow Volotea will operate one flight a week (on Saturdays) until July 23rd. The route will then be operated twice a week (on Wednesdays and Sundays). Info and tickets at www.volotea.com.

University meets Business at Cagliari Airport

Over the next two days 60 researchers from the University of Cagliari will be joined by members of Sardinian enterprises at Cagliari Airport Business Centre to discuss how to cooperate in implementing economic growth. A strong university-business cooperation could boost the activities in eight different thematic areas such as Aerospace, Agrifood, Bioeconomy, Biomedicine, Economy and Management, Energy, ICT, Tourism of Cultural and Environmental Assets.

 

New campaign by LAV against animal abandonment

LAV, together with CGIL, CISL and UIL Unions of Italian Retired Workers, launches a new awareness campaign on animal abandonment encouraging the adoption of adult cats and dogs in order to lower the amount of stray animals during summer.

Sardinian tourism to be promoted at airports

The Sardinian Government will now promote the Island’s brand with a modern and sophisticated advertising campaign aiming to reach passengers landing at the three major Sardinian airports. Tourists will be inspired and engaged on various levels by multimedia projects, shops and info points promoting Sardinian excellence in all its aspects.

New scheme for Sogaerdyn and Geasar operations

Starting today Sogaerdyn, handling agent based at Cagliari airport, will provide check-in and boarding services for passengers leaving from Olbia airport to Rome Fiumicino on Meridiana flights. On the other hand, the Olbia-based handling agent Geasar will now assist Meridiana guests departing from Cagliari airport.

With Volotea to Naples and Genoa from this w/e

The two brand new routes connecting Cagliari with Naples and Genoa will be operated twice a week by the low cost Volotea starting this coming weekend. With these new entries, the airline’s network from Cagliari Airport now offers 7 domestic destinations.
