The airport sets another record in October

Cagliari Airport strikes again: last month’s 353,993 passengers make it the best October ever in the history of the main Sardinian airport. Travellers increased by +15.25% thanks to rising figures on international routes (+28.5%) and to a solid +11.7% growth of domestic passengers. Cagliari Airport now focuses on breaking the record of 4 million passengers per year at the end of 2017 and on deseasonalizing tourist flows.

 

Buone anche le previsioni per i collegamenti invernali ’17-’18: rispetto al 2016, la stagione appena iniziata si caratterizza per l’ampliamento del numero di rotte attive. Le attese sono quelle di una crescita dei flussi di viaggiatori in arrivo e partenza all’Aeroporto di Cagliari in grado di contribuire al raggiungimento del risultato di fine anno.

Omphalos, the book: launch at the airport

Sergio Frau will launch his latest book, Omphalos, Il Primo Centro del Mondo - Il paradiso che divenne inferno on Tuesday 24th Oct. 2017 at Cagliari Airport’s Business Centre. Starting from 6 p.m., the author will be joined by Alessio Grazietti (Cagliari Airport General Manager), fellow writers Ettore Tronci and Tonino Bussu, Pino Calledda (astronomer), Claudio Giardino (archaeometallurgist from the University of Salento). Musician Enzo Favata (saxophone) and journalist Mario Tozzi (voice) will perform a premiere of their reading “Sardegna, Le Radici della Storia”.

Passenger figures hit new record in September

Cagliari Airport posts new seasonal passenger record: from June to September 2017 over 2 million travellers have chosen the main Sardinian hub, an increase of +14.5% on the previous year. With a total of 471,195 passengers served, September 2017 performed very strongly becoming the best September ever in Cagliari Airport’s history.

Cagliari Airport: Alberto Scanu new CEO

On September 25th 2017 Cagliari Airport’s Board of Directors has chosen Mr. Alberto Scanu as the new company’s CEO. Yesterday’s board meeting was presided by Mr. Gabor Pinna and was attended by Monica Pilloni, Marina Rubini and Alberto Bertolotti (board members), together with the members of Cagliari Airport’s Board of Statutory Auditors.
