So.G.Aer. S.p.A., founded in 1990, has always focused on developing the airport management to the highest international standards in terms of quality and safety. As a consequence to the prominent results achieved, in January of 2005, So.G.Aer. S.p.A. was awarded the ‘Airport Certification’ by ENAC (the National Civil Aviation Board) and the 40-year management concession of Cagliari-Elmas airport.
The key steps which have defined the evolution of the Group since the foundation of So.G.Aer. S.p.A. are as follows:
1992 start-up of operations.
1996 20-year provisional authorisation of the Land Side management.
1997 foundation of Sogaerdyn S.p.A. supplier of airport handling services.
2000 twenty-year provisional agreement, as an anticipated concession, of the Air Side.
2001 start up of the restructuring and expansion works of the old terminal.
2003 Official Opening of the new terminal.
2005 Issue of the ‘Airport Certification’ and the forty-year concession for the total management of Cagliari Elmas airport.
